With over 10 years in the biz, we like to think we know our way around a cake — and we take pride in making your cake sparkle equally on the inside and out. Cakes are meant to taste just as good as they look! Don’t you think?
Our flavour options have been tried and tested over the years. A couple of our personal favourites include the ridiculously indulgent chocolate orange and the cute and classy pink coconut + jam.
We always say: in a world full of vanillas, be different — but we also know vanilla hits the spot every damn time!
A little about the business
Prior to the shop I have run a bespoke cake business from my home kitchen for 10 years +
It was about three years ago I started having a vision of opening a shop and combining my bespoke cakes with a weekly counter of delicious house made bakes and great coffee to accompany it. Fast forward a LOT of planning, a huge leap of faith Whisk Bakehouse was born.
I’m not sure I’ll ever get over seeing my dream through and opening my dream bakery on the wonderful high street of my home town but here we are. Anything you set your mind too! The encouragement from my family and friends really carried me through the setting out process and in times of doubt. I’m so grateful! Thank you for the push guys.
The idea was to create a unique space that feels cheerful with delicious baking smells inviting you in to share a cake and a coffee with friends while we’re whisking up the goods right infront of you while being able to interact with customers at the same time.
Now in the shop we are still at the very beginning of our journey with lots of ambitions and plans to come but here’s what we currently offer and what you can expect.
